About Me

My name is Kimberly and I am a middle school math at a small school in Emmaus.  I have been teaching for 4 years and will be currently going into my 5th year of teaching this fall.  I have my bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Middle School Mathematics from York College of Pennsylvania.  I currently graduated with my Master's degree in Mathematics Learning and Teaching from Drexel University.  I absolutely love what I do and am always looking for new ways to improve my daily classroom instruction.  During my free time I enjoy being outdoors whether hiking, camping, exercising, or walking.  I am a huge sports fan and love keeping up to date with my teams.  I am a huge fan of the Michigan Wolverine football and basketball teams, Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Flyers, and the Philadelphia Phillies.  I enjoy traveling and seeing what new places have to offer.  I am a wine enthusiast and love taking tours of new vineyards and sampling new wines.

  1. I too am a Catholic school teacher. I teach 7th grade in Philadelphia, so we are practically neighbors. I've been teaching a little longer than you (20 years in fact), but I love this age group. It can be a challenge sometimes, but it's a good challenge. I'm an Eagles and Phillies fan (even though this season wasn't their best). Just wanted to let you know you have a neighbor in Pennsylvania! :-)

Oh my goodness, this is great news! I am always wondering if there are other teachers out there in PA that teach middle school at a Catholic School. I agree, this age group is fabulous! I honestly never pictured myself teaching at this level, but after four years, going on five, I do not think I could see myself going back down to the lower level. I am so glad that I have someone nearby! Please make sure to join the TPT Tribe in PA on facebook. We have blogger and TPT meet ups.
